NFL Week 1; Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em

Start this QB!

RG3 vs. Philadelphia Eagles – Despite coming off of a knee injury and missing the entire preseason, RG3 is going to start this week. He has averaged 199 passing yards and a total of 6 touchdowns against this shakey Eagles defense, so big numbers are expected.

Sit this QB!

Cam Newton vs. Seattle Seahawks – With Newton coming off of his sophomore slump and facing the #1 defense in the league, it’s not safe to start him. Newton only threw for 142 yards and no touchdowns last year against the Seahawks.

Start this RB!

Steven Ridley at Buffalo Bills – The Bills have given up the third most fantasy points to RB’s on its home field last season and the Patriots have rushed for 16 touchdowns in its last 11 meeting against Buffalo.

Sit this RB!

Ryan Mathews vs. Houston Texans – Mathews is a last resort RB that has yet to prove himself in this league. Going up against a top 3 defense in the Texans, don’t start this guy.

Start this WR!

Victor Cruz at Dallas Cowboys – Eli is always known to have big games against the Cowboys defense, and with Cruz being a top 5 fantasy receiver in 2012, this should be a big game for Cruz.

Sit this WR!

Steve Smith vs. Seattle Seahawks – With Newton projected to have a poor game this week, Smith should stay on your bench right next to him.

Start this TE!

Julius Thomas vs. Baltimore Ravens – With the Ravens losing key defensive players Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, expect Peyton Manning to connect with his TE Thomas multiple times this week.

Sit this TE!

Antonio Gates vs. Houston Texans – Gates is still a fan favorite in most fantasy leagues, but with Philip Rivers having a 2012 season riddled with interceptions, don’t expect him to connect with Gates against a tough Texans defense.

Start this K!

Blair Walsh at Detroit Lions – Walsh should have plenty of opportunities to produce during this NFC North shoot out .

Sit this K!

Robbie Gould vs. Cincinnati Bengals – This should be a defensive game, leaving Gould with a few opportunities to score. Gould was also 24th in fantasy points for kickers last season.

Start this Defense!

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New York Jets – With the Bucs acquiring CB Darrel Revis and S Dashon Goldson, this Defense should have a field day against rookie QB Geno Smith.

Sit this Defense!

Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers – Kaepernick and the high powered Niners read-option offense should put up similar numbers against the Packers defense as they did in the NFC Championship last year; a lot.

Huge fan of fantasy football. It is pretty neat that all the week predictions and rankings are still almost the same in week 10. Minus Vick, which is not really surprising. Steve Smith and Larry Fitz have been totally jokes so far this year. Graham is in a league of his own and if you have him, your a championship caliber team. Take care and enjoy the rest of the season.
